We are all aware of the current Ebola threat, but fear won’t protect us knowledge will. Unlike COVID-19, Ebola is not an airborne virus, and it isn't spread by mosquito bites. It is mainly transmitted through direct contact with an infected person or their bodily fluids.
Here’s what you need to look out for:
a. Unexplained bleeding or oozing blood from the eyes, nose, ears, or mouth.
b. Severe vomiting or diarrhea (including vomiting blood).
c. Sudden high fever and intense headaches.
What you can do right now:
1. Report immediately: If you notice anyone showing these symptoms, alert the nearest health or security facility or call 0800-100-066.
2. Keep your distance: Avoid unnecessary physical contact, including handshakes and hugs.
3. Sanitize: Wash your hands frequently with soap and clean water, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Your safety begins with you. Share this to protect your family and community.
