My legs & knees got twisted in 2024 when i was down for 11 months & weak to walk.

Since then squatting, kneeling, bending and getting on Bodas has been a problem.💙coz the nerves still pain alot and when stretched to the extreme ,it can be tearful.

The phychiatrist advised to avoid stress (anxiety disorder) & anything that may traumatise the body.Well i find it impossible to exist on earth without stress.

Anxiety + Stress+ Diabetes =😢🥵🥵

Anyways i shifted my energy to care for the body but we sure still have a long way to go🥲🥲

I didn’t invite T1D in my life,💟I have fought many battles in life but the thought of knowing there is a cure to end something that partly contributed to what happened in my life is a whole new level & am still hopeful & grateful to God. 20 years as a T1D who has been misunderstood by some “particulars “for being KAYE & stigmatized to the core,oh well am happy to say there is a cure for Type One Diabetes finally💃💃💃😅😅.It still sounds unbelievable & hard to process but I already see light at the end of the tunnel & very very hopeful 💃💃💃

💙About this clinical Trial💙

The groundbreaking Eldon Trial (often associated with Eledon Pharmaceuticals and their drug Tegoprubart) led by Dr. Piotr Witkowski at the University of Chicago.

While we aren’t at a “worldwide public cure” for everyone just yet (it’s currently in clinical trials), the results from this specific study are some of the most exciting the T1D community has seen in years.

The Breakthrough We’ve Been Waiting For: UChicago Islet Success! 🧬🔬

Big news is coming out of the University of Chicago Medicine, and it’s changing the conversation about a T1D cure.

The Eldon Trial (using the drug Tegoprubart) is proving that we can transplant insulin-producing islet cells without the toxic side effects of traditional anti-rejection meds.

Why this is a Game Changer:

Insulin Independence: In early results, 100% of the first participants reached full insulin independence.

Better Safety: Traditionally, anti-rejection drugs (like Tacrolimus) are “toxic” to the very cells being transplanted. Tegoprubart is showing it can protect the new cells while being much gentler on the body.

Higher Success Rates: Islet engraftment in this trial was 3x to 5x higher than standard transplants.

We aren’t just “managing” anymore—we are looking at a future of functional cures. A massive shoutout to Dr. Piotr Witkowski and the team at UChicago for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

We are one step closer to a world where “Type One” becomes “Type None.” 💙
