WEEKEND RECAP 🎾💧
My first padel tournament: watching the competition AND working with athletes on recovery. 🙌
Tournament weekends ask a lot from the body. Multiple matches, long hours, sweating, travel, heat, inconsistent meals and not enough time between matches can quickly add up.
That’s where IV hydration can be a valuable recovery tool. 💧
IV fluids deliver hydration directly into the bloodstream, which means we don’t have to wait for fluids to move through the digestive system first. Depending on the athlete’s individual needs and what’s medically appropriate, IV therapy can also include electrolytes and select vitamins or nutrients.
For athletes, the goal is simple:
💧 Rehydrate efficiently
⚡ Replenish what was lost through sweat
💪 Support normal muscle and nerve function
🧠 Support energy and mental clarity
🔄 Help the body get back to baseline between demanding days
And while IV hydration begins entering the bloodstream immediately, recovery itself isn’t instant. Sleep, nutrition, adequate calories, oral hydration and rest still matter. IV therapy is another tool we can use when the demands of competition make keeping up with hydration difficult.
One of my favorite parts of RNR IV BAR is being able to meet athletes where they are, sometimes literally courtside, and help them take recovery as seriously as they take training.
Train hard. Hydrate well. Recover intentionally. 💜
