The planter missed a few rows, so instead of leaving them empty, we hand-planted sweet corn, Indian corn, and popcorn on Monday. 🌽

Turned lemons into lemonade.

We've been harvesting zucchini out of the garden for over a week - harvested a cabbage head this AM [had another one rot yesterday after all the rain & heat 😭] but this sucker is HUGEEEEE
I think some fresh sauerkraut is in the future making & we've fried fresh zucchini several times since we've been getting them.

Are you guys harvesting anything from your gardens?
What/how are you eating/preserving the harvests?!

Tossing around the idea of making some hats, bandana, and/or visor items like these in some of my 4th of July fabric.

If you were going to buy fireworks and seen such items, what would you be more inclined to purchase?

I took a break of working on aprons yesterday evening and attempted to make Bek some pants while at Nan's house.
[Because that's the whole reason to sew is to sew our kiddos & us some adorable clothes]

Wellllll ... they were a little too tight in the hips/thighs areas so we pivoted and altered them to fit Leah.

Pants with pockets!! 🙌
(Because every female knows how essential having pockets is AND how scarce they are 🫪)
I learned some stuff for the future with these but I'm just so excited 😭

Anyway - I made that! 🤯

The best husband & daddy had a birthday yesterday and we celebrated with homemade pizzas for lunch 🍕 (Rachel & I had tuna 🤣) - dinner consisted of homemade burger buns, burgers, fresh fried zucchini from our garden, and a chocolate chip 'cookie cake' 🍔🥒🍪
