You made it to 90 days. That’s something very few people do.

At this point, the question tends to change. It’s no longer about whether you CAN do this, but whether you WANT to keep going.

In today’s video, I talk about what this moment really is, what many people experience after 90 days, and why a lot of them decide not to go back.

Spent a full day last week focused entirely on my health.

Eight hours. Every test you can think of. And something important never came up. It caught me off guard… but it probably shouldn’t have.

This week’s video is about what that moment revealed — and how deeply alcohol has become normalized in our culture.

We’re now past the 8-week mark.

If you’re still alcohol-free, congratulations. That’s a real accomplishment. At this stage, many people feel amazing — clearer thinking, better sleep, more energy.

But this is also the point where it can start to feel a little lonely. The excitement of Dry January fades, and not everyone keeps going. In this week’s video, I talk about why that discomfort might actually be where the growth begins.

It’s been 7 weeks since Dry January started. If you’re still alcohol-free, congratulations. That’s an incredible accomplishment.

This week I was reminded how far alcohol’s impact really reaches. After a talk I gave, person after person came up to share a story about someone they love who was harmed by alcohol.

We all know someone. This video is about what carries forward — and what it could mean to change that pattern.

Six weeks! If you’re on the Extended Break, you’re officially more than halfway through 90 days – congratulations!
That’s not small.
In this week’s video we talk about something most people don’t think about — reward.
How much money have you saved?
What has alcohol really been costing you?
We also talk about this question: Is it a hardship to go a couple hours at an event without a drink?
If it is — alcohol might have more control than you think.
It’s not your fault.
Alcohol is addictive.
But it is your responsibility.
If you’ve made it six weeks, I’m proud of you.
If you’re thinking about starting, maybe now’s the time.

Week 5. 🙌
If you’re still going after Dry January (90 days, sober-curious, alcohol-free… or just listening along), this one’s for you.

Because the question is coming:
“So… are you drinking again now that January is over?”

Here’s the simple line that changes everything: “I’m taking an extended break.”

In today’s video, I’ll show you how to use it (and what to say when people ask how long you’re going). Plus: a reminder for anyone thinking, “Where are the benefits?” — they’re coming. Keep going.

What’s been the toughest moment for you so far—social pressure, weekends, stress, sleep? Drop it in the comments. 👇

Final thoughts

Day 31 of Dry January. You made it!
Thirty-one days without alcohol is not a small thing. It required saying no when it would have been easier to say yes. It required showing up even when motivation dipped. And it required believing that something better might be on the other side of this month.
Today’s video features Suzanne Warye, host of The Sober Mom Life podcast and author of The Sober Shift. She shares why the beginning of this journey can feel so uncomfortable, and why that discomfort isn’t the destination.
