This Juneteenth we lift up the legacies of the vigilant Black ancestors of this land and who tirelessly demanded their freedom. In the same breath we honor the Black revolutionaries earth side in our communities who continue their liberatory work in the continuous fight for Black Liberation, freedom, and healing generations forward and backwards.

Like the billboard above, this world truly does not move without Black creativity. We pay homage to the Black women- activist, scholars, caretakers, revolutionaries who are the foremothers of change making 🌸
