Mayor Tiffany Anton signed a proclamation making September, Su***de Prevention Month in Algood. There are over 48,000 su***de deaths in the United States every year. Everyone can play a role in prevention by learning and sharing the warning signs. Su***de and Crisis Lifeline can be reached 24 hours a day by dialing 988 on your phone.

Cookeville Junior Woman's Club Hygiene Drive

We are partnering with the Genesis House, Inc. of the Upper Cumberland for the GFWC International Day of Service to support the essential needs of women and children in our community!

Date: Saturday, September 26

Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Location: Walmart in Algood (look for our tent and table set up right at the entrance)

How You Can Help:

Shop & Drop: Grab a few extra hygiene items while you shop and drop them off with us on your way out.

Clear Out Clutter: Have unopened, unused hygiene items at home? Bring them by!

All Sizes Welcome: Every single contribution helps, and we are accepting all and any sizes of hygiene items.

Stop by on September 26 to say hello and help us support families in need through Genesis House. Every donation makes a difference!
