Let’s get scientific for a minute. Recently someone asked me if her skin would respond to treatments because she is post menopausal? It’s true that the cells that are responsible for making collagen (fibroblasts) are stimulated by estrogen. ⬇️estrogen = ⬇️ Collagen production. BUT, regenerative therapies (microneedling, PRP/ PRF, and biostimulators) bypass the hormonal pathways and directly stimulate fibroblasts to make collagen! The fibroblasts are still there, they simply need stronger, repeated stimulation. Included in these treatments in least invasive to most invasive order are: topical prescription retinoids, medium depth chemical peels, microneedling, PRP/ PRF injections, biostimulators (Sculptra and Hyperdilute Radiesse). Something else that helps is hormone replacement therapy (if you are a candidate). All appointments include a consultation.
