Incredible day at The Summit Ranch Equestrian Park ribbon cutting! The Summit storm drill team had their first performance. As their coach, I couldn’t be more excited with their performance!
In the span of a few weeks they went from not really knowing what drill is to learning a whole routine, learning how to flag brake horses, to then flag break their own, flag carriage, and so much more. I’m truly impressed by the grit of these cowgirls in the making 🙌🏻.

A massive thank you to our sponsors for making amazing things happen for us!

Good afternoon, everyone. We are very excited to announce The Devotion Horsemanship Program is moving to The Summit Ranch Equestrian Park ! Partnering with their awesome team, we will be able to use not only a large lighted outdoor arena with an impressive view, but also a decently sized covered and lighted arena as well as a round pen. The average weather based cancellations will be all but a thing of the past with the ability to stay dry and on solid footing.

With this change I have massive availability openings. We are currently offering 1 free lesson with the purchase of monthly lesson packages. We have some great lesson horses and we welcome haul ins! Deal applies to both.

This massive move would not be made possible without our current and past clients/ students. We appreciate your faith in our program to develop partnerships and foster growth!

🐴 Why I Sometimes Stop Teaching During Lessons

People watching a riding lesson sometimes notice something interesting.

There are moments when I stop talking.

That’s intentional.

Riding is a physical skill, and the rider’s body has to learn how to move with the horse. Balance, timing, and feel can’t be learned only through words.

In fact, research in sports coaching shows that when a coach is constantly giving instructions, the rider’s ears turn on — and body awareness often turns off. The brain starts focusing on processing words instead of feeling movement.

And riding is all about feeling.

Feeling the rhythm of the trot.
Feeling when the horse shifts balance.
Feeling when the horse is ready to move forward.

If I talk nonstop, riders often try to think their way through riding instead of letting their body learn the movement.

So sometimes I give an instruction… and then I let there be quiet.

Those quiet moments allow riders to connect with the horse and develop the awareness that good riding requires.

Over time, that awareness becomes instinct.

And that’s when riding really begins to look effortless.

Because the best riders don’t just follow instructions.

They feel the horse. ❤️

We have weekly lessons available, for children 5 and up. We have a small but fantastic group of ponies and horses who love their jobs. No need to worry about it getting dark early, we have lights to keep lessons rolling! 🙌🏻

Weekly lessons are $240(private) and $180(group) per month. Private lessons are 1 hour long, group lessons are 1 hr & 30mins. Each month includes one “in barn” lesson working on theory and learning how to take care of the horses.

Current availability for group lessons on W/F, and time for a few private lessons through the week. Please contact us with any questions regarding scheduling or our program. We’d love to have you!
