Dayton Farm Honey

Dayton Farm Honey Dayton Farm Honey is produced in East Hampton, NY. We don't heat treat or filter our honey, it's strained to remove any large pieces of bee, wax, or propolis.

Second generation weekend beekeeper who took after his father and has setup his apiary on a tricentennial East Hampton farm. We now have third generation beekeepers helping, with my twins Otto and Zach suiting up to help their dad. We treat our hives with a minimal amount of formal medicines. Fumagilin-B is used in the spring and fall to treat for nosema, which some feel could be related to CCD (c

olony collapse disorder). If we need to treat for varroa mites we use a natural treatment consisting formic acid pads (naturally occurs in honey). Whenever we need to feed our bees sugar water we add some Honey-B-Healthy (a mix of essential oils). This past year our honey was in some amazing duck at South Edison in Montauk, NY.
