💙 One act. One match. One life changed forever.

Meet Alan.

For nearly 13 years, he’s lived with strength, quietly battling IgA Nephropathy as it progressed into Chronic Kidney Disease. Through it all, he’s been the kind of person who shows up for others—never asking for anything in return.

Now, he needs us.

Alan is currently on the transplant list and hoping for a preemptive kidney transplant—before dialysis becomes necessary. The best chance? A living donor.

Here’s what many people don’t realize:
✨ You don’t have to be a perfect match
✨ You can live a healthy life with one kidney
✨ Testing is confidential, with no obligation

Even exploring the possibility could save his life.

Alan has always been there for others.
Let’s be there for him.

In observation of National Kidney Month this March, here’s a helpful guide with some steps you can take to protect your kidneys! Keep reading for information about prevention, detection, and making kidney-friendly lifestyle choices.

How Can You Keep Your Kidneys Healthy?
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) often doesn’t have symptoms in its early stages, making prevention crucial. Our infographic breaks down key ways to take charge:

💧 1. Stay Active & Hydrated: Get moving and drink plenty of fluids to support optimal function.
🥕 2. Eat a Balanced Diet: Focus on whole foods to keep your blood pressure and sugar in check.
🩺 3. Understand Early Detection: Talk to your doctor about screenings, especially if you have risk factors like hypertension or diabetes.
🚫 4. Make Healthy Choices: Simple adjustments, such as managing stress, getting enough sleep, and skipping to***co, can significantly benefit your kidneys.

Ready to learn more about protecting your renal health? Visit the link in our bio for additional information and resources on kidney disease and prevention.

Together, let’s make kidney health a priority this March and always.

Through every doctor appointment and every milestone, Alan has been a steady, loving husband.
The kind who puts family first.
The kind who carries the weight quietly.
The kind who makes home feel safe.
We want to make sure this journey doesn’t become a financial burden on his family.

Here for you bro. ❤️

Heading to donate blood at the American Red Cross and find out my blood type to see if I’m a match. If there’s even a chance I can help, I’m all in.

Alan needs a kidney. He’s Type O. That means his donor must be Type O too.

If you’re Type O, please consider getting tested. You could literally save his life.

And if you’re not a match, you can still make a difference. Share this. Pray. Donate. Show up in any way you can.

We’re fighting with you, bro. Stay strong. 💪🏽

Alan isn’t someone who asks for help.
He’s the one who helps.
For over a decade, he’s managed chronic kidney disease quietly — without complaint, without slowing down for his family.
Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
Your donation helps ease travel costs, donor expenses, and medical-related needs not covered by insurance.

Alan is thoughtful.
Dependable.
The guy who checks in on you just because.

He’s the one who would give the shirt off his back without hesitation.

This photo was taken when he brought his family to Washington, DC to support a friend who had just lost his father. He didn’t think twice. He showed up. He made time. He stood beside someone in their hardest moment.

Now he’s facing one of the hardest seasons of his own life — kidney failure, transplant list, and the weight that comes with both. And if you know Alan, you know… asking for help isn’t easy for him.

So let’s do what he’s always done for others. Let’s show up.

Let’s remind him he’s not alone. 💙

If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing. Every bit helps ease the burden of treatment and the road ahead.

Alan has always been the kind of dad who shows up.
School events. Late-night talks. Family dinners.
The steady presence his kids count on every single day.
Now, he’s facing a kidney transplant — and we want to make sure he can keep showing up for them for years to come.
If you’re able to donate or share, you’re helping protect a father’s future with his children.
One act. One match. One life changed forever.
