Friendship…this might hit you hard but we need to start talking about it.
1. You keep waiting for someone to give you permission.
You already know there’s something you want to try, change, leave, or pursue. But you keep looking for validation from people who aren’t living the life you want. At some point, you have to choose yourself.
2. You say you want a different life, but you keep choosing what’s comfortable.
Growth sounds exciting until it requires you to be a beginner again, risk rejection, spend money on yourself, or possibly fail. You’re not always stuck because you lack opportunities. Sometimes you’re stuck because familiar feels safer than unknown.
3. You’re spending too much time watching other people live instead of building your own life.
Scrolling. Comparing. Watching someone else travel, build a business, change careers, get healthier, or chase their dream. Their progress isn’t what’s holding you back, but constantly consuming instead of creating might be.
At 37, I’ve realized thriving isn’t about having your entire life figured out. It’s about finally taking responsibility for where your life goes next.
