I recognize that it is almost June ☀️ but one thing I NEVER go on vacation without is my elderberry syrup! Everyone in my family has a pretty strong immune system but I don't gamble with disrupting vacation with illness. It further validates my thinking when a Mom at the beach grocery store tells me that her kids woke up on their first day of vacation with fevers. 🤒 🤦🏼‍♀️

Did you know The Vine offers bartending services?! 🤣 A customer came in to buy a bottle of Auntie Jen's and didn't want to wait until they got home to dose up. 🥰 So, Scott pulled out some cups so they could get ahead of the cold/allergies that were coming on. He told me it's actually a common occurrence! ❤️ Now, that's great customer service! The Vine is FULLY stocked y'all!

I was recently asked for fun ways to use/take elderberry syrup so I've done some experimenting and here's what I came up with...

Add an ounce of syrup to a mug of hot tea or spiced cider. Recipe for cider below. You could also try a splash in unsweetened tea.

My absolute favorite is a little in ginger beer! is my absolute favorite ginger beer and is a perfect match for syrup!

Spiced Cider:
1- 1.5 cups of apple cider
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise
Bring above to a boil, remove from heat, let sit 5 minutes, strain and add 1 oz of syrup!
