If we could tell every student entering physical therapy just one thing, it would be this: the science matters, and the heart matters more.

You can learn the anatomy. You can master the technique. But the ability to listen, to build trust, and to make someone feel truly heard? That’s something you build on purpose, over years.

It’s the heart of how we care for people at HobanPT, and it’s why we say Where Skill Meets Heart. Exceptional skill is the foundation. Genuine care is what makes it matter.

People first. Always.

To every PT student out there working so hard right now: we’re cheering for you. 💙

Nobody tells you how many boxes come with opening a clinic.

Tables, equipment, furniture, supplies. Every piece had to be unboxed, assembled, and put exactly where it belonged. And somewhere in all that cardboard, a cabinet piece got tossed out. Yes, we climbed in after it.

We could have called it a bad day. Instead, we laughed. Building something from the ground up takes a lot of hands, a lot of patience, and a few hiccups along the way.

But the boxes were never really about the building. They were about YOU. Every room is a place where we’ll listen, take the time to understand what’s going on, and build a plan for moving forward.

People first. Always.

The boxes are gone and the doors are open. We’re here 6 AM – 6 PM, and our promise is that you are seen within 48 hours.

Expert Hands. Exceptional Care.

At HobanPT, advanced manual therapy is at the heart of what we do.

Our physical therapists bring decades of clinical experience and have shared their knowledge and expertise with thousands of clinicians across the country. That experience shapes the way we evaluate, treat, and care for every patient who walks through our doors.

We've built HobanPT around two things we care deeply about: providing outstanding hands-on treatment and making sure every patient feels genuinely cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.

We believe great physical therapy starts with listening, taking the time to understand each person's needs, and delivering thoughtful, individualized treatment backed by years of experience.

We're proud to bring that level of expertise and personal attention to the Ann Arbor community.

We wrote this long before our doors were open.

Before the treatment tables arrived, before the finishing touches, and before we welcomed our first patient, we sat down and put into words what we wanted HobanPT to stand for.

We talked about the care we believe people deserve, the kind of team we wanted to build, and the standards we would hold ourselves to.

Those conversations became our manifesto.

Now that our doors are open, these words mean even more. They're the commitments we want to live out every day, with every patient and with each other.

We're excited to share them with you.

Our Manifesto. The heart of HobanPT.

When you’re in discomfort, waiting weeks to see someone can feel like forever.

We know how much it matters to sit down with someone who will listen, help you understand what’s going on, and give you a plan for moving forward.

That’s why we’re making a commitment at HobanPT to see you within 48 hours.
And when we say be seen, we mean more than getting you on the schedule.

We want you to feel heard. To have your questions answered. To know that the person sitting across from you genuinely cares about getting you back to the things that matter to you.

That’s the kind of care we built HobanPT to provide.

Be seen. Get started. Move forward.

Today, we open the doors to HobanPT.

There have been plans, construction, boxes, decisions, long days and more than a few changes along the way. But those were never really the story.

The story has always been the people.

The patients who have trusted us over the years. The relationships that have lasted long after therapy ended. The clinicians we have learned from and taught. The people who encouraged us to take this leap. And the team that is now ready to build something special together.

We have spent a lot of time thinking about what we want HobanPT to be. Today, we finally get to live it. Take extraordinary care of people.

Bring experience, skill and heart to the work. Keep learning. Pay attention to the details. Make people feel known. Build a place where great clinicians love coming to work. And never forget what a privilege it is when someone trusts us with their recovery.

Ann Arbor, the doors are open. We’re ready for you.

October 5th. It’s official.

We’ve talked about HobanPT for a long time. We’ve planned it, changed things, changed them again, and spent a lot of time thinking about exactly what we wanted this place to be.

Now we get to open the doors.

At the heart of HobanPT is something pretty simple: take incredible care of people.

We want to deliver WOW patient care and service. To bring our best to every patient who trusts us with their care, pay attention to the details, and create an experience we’re proud to put our name on.

And we want to take incredible care of the people who work here, too. We want HobanPT to be a place where people genuinely love coming to work and are proud of what we’re building together.

That’s HobanPT.

October 5th, we get to start.

Ann Arbor, we’re ready.
