TOLAC - Trial of labor after cesarean. VBAC - Vaginal birth after cesarean.

I have supported several mamas through a TOLAC. Not every mama is able to have a VBAC. I never forget these mamas and often think back on their labors for months, wondering if I could have helped change their outcome. Sometimes it keeps me awake at night. Then there are circumstances that seem even more challenging - a VBAC after TWO cesareans? This is exactly what this mama did!! She had an amazing husband and a very supportive birth team! And she rocked her birth!! So many tears of joy and praises to Jesus!! And I somehow got a front row seat 🩷

There is nothing like holding your first born for the very first time!! Birth is amazing and mysterious, especially for first time parents! I’m so proud of this couple and so thankful to have been able to witness their love for one another ♥️

Welcome to the world baby girl 💝

This family held such a special place in my heart as they navigated pregnancy and birth miles and miles away from the place they call home! This can be especially difficult for first time parents. But I witnessed them lean into the Lord, placing all their hope and trust in Him! Mama, I’m so proud of you! You did it! Thank you for continuing to let me be a part of your lives postpartum! You are doing beautiful 🩷

Ah!!! A TWIN-VBAC!!

This was my first time supporting a twin birth! What a blessing to witness the strength of this mama as she birthed her twin boys just 25 months from her cesarean birth! Birth is hard work and this mama moved through a lot of discomfort to bring her boys earthside! From an epideral that wasn’t helpful…she leaned on the Lord and her husband! Two baby boys, two pound difference between them, and born an hour and 19 minutes apart!

Dr. London was by her side and such an encouragement, always believing that this mama was capable. Patient, kind and willing to wait for these boys to make it into the world! 🩵💙
