Special Message from Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth
As you may now know, prayers are being lifted for Robert Wolgemuth, husband of Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, who was hospitalized on Christmas Eve and has been battling pneumonia. Today’s news is a sober reminder of God’s sovereignty even as prayers continue.
After a long career in Christian publishing, since their marriage in 2015, Robert has been actively engaged in the ministry at Revive Our Hearts. However, a bout with cancer several years ago resulted in a highly compromised immune system which has made this current situation a grave one.
From Nancy’s last post on Caring Bridge:
This is not a report I had hoped to be sending. But the Lord is making His will known to us and we are saying, "Yes, Lord. We surrender to Your plan, knowing that You are good and You can be trusted to write our story."
Nearly three years ago, Robert released a book called "Finish Line." The subtitle is: "Dispelling fear, finding peace, and preparing for the end of your life." Robert believes and has beautifully lived the message of that book.
Now my DH (dear husband) has run his race and is approaching the finish line.
… Scripture tells us that "all [our days] were written in [His] book and planned before a single one of them began" (Psalm 139:16). Only the Lord knows exactly when He will take His servant Home. But we anticipate that within the next few days, Robert will be with Jesus.
Thank you for your love and prayers for me and for Robert's family and friends over these next hours, as we release Robert to the faithful, loving hands of our great Savior. Heaven rules. Jesus is near the brokenhearted.
