❕EDS and pelvic pain are connected more often than people realize. ❕

When connective tissue is hypermobile throughout the body, the pelvic floor is affected too. It can become one of the more overworked areas of the body because it’s trying to make up for the lack of stability from the joints and ligaments.

This can show up as:

🔹 Pelvic girdle pain or SI joint instability
🔹 Pain with intimacy or tampon insertion
🔹 Bladder urgency, leaking, or frequency
🔹 Pressure or heaviness (prolapse symptoms)
🔹 Painful periods or vulvar pain
🔹 Constipation or difficulty fully emptying bowels

In people with EDS, the pelvic floor can be chronically tight from guarding, weak from lack of stability, or sometimes both at the same time.

That’s why generic treatment approaches do not always work. Pelvic PT for EDS should be individualized and focus on nervous system regulation, joint support, load tolerance, and overall function instead of only strengthening muscles.

If you have EDS and are dealing with pelvic symptoms, you deserve care from someone who understands how your body works. 💙

Friday night was something special. ✨ I processed it all weekend and still don’t have words to describe the power in the room.

We screened This Is Endometriosis followed by an amazing panel discussion with and .lavonda and held space for real, raw, honest conversation and the room felt it. We laughed, we cried, we got angry, and we held space for hope for the future.

So many people in that room have been dismissed, misdiagnosed, or told their pain was “just normal.” It’s not. Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 people, and most wait 7–10 years for a diagnosis.

That ends when we start talking about it.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared their story, and trusted us with their healing…You reminded us exactly why this work matters. And thank you to for creating a space where we can have these conversations.

To all the mamas with littles — we made it to water play season. 🌊
The hose is out. The kids are soaked. You are also soaked. Nobody asked if you wanted to be soaked.
This is fine.
Soak it in (literally), mama. You earned this chaos. ✨ Don’t forget to just breathe after the cold water has shocked your nervous system though!

Have you ever been told you’re “just flexible” but live with chronic pain, fatigue, and joint instability?

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) is a group of hereditary connective tissue disorders that affect the entire body. Connective tissue holds everything together: your joints, skin, organs, and blood vessels. When it’s more fragile or elastic than it should be, the effects can be widespread.

The most common type, hypermobile EDS (hEDS), often goes undiagnosed for a decade or more, especially in women, who are frequently told their symptoms are stress or anxiety. Common signs include:

🔹Joint hypermobility (bendy joints!)
🔹Chronic pain and fatigue
🔹Skin that stretches or bruises easily
🔹Frequent subluxations or dislocations
🔹GI issues, POTS, or autonomic symptoms

EDS is not rare. It’s just rarely recognized!

May is Pelvic Pain Awareness Month and this one is personal.

I see this happening all the time so if you’ve experienced anything similar, I can promise you are not alone.

This is exactly why I do what I do.

Here’s how I approach it differently:

✨ First, we do a thorough history because your story matters and most providers don’t take the time to really listen
✨ Then, we do a specialized physical exam (with thorough explanation and consent first!) to assess what’s actually happening in your pelvic floor and surrounding structures
✨ And finally, we build a care plan that addresses the physical, emotional, and nervous system contributors to your pain

My patients often share that this is the first time they’ve felt truly heard and the first time they’ve actually started to see progress.

If that’s what you’re looking for, I’d love to be part of your care team. Link in bio to get started. 💙

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month 💛

Endometriosis is more than “bad cramps.”
It’s a complex condition that can cause persistent pelvic pain, painful periods, digestive issues, fatigue, pain with intimacy, and so much more.

For many people living with endo, the journey to diagnosis and relief can feel long and frustrating. Too often their pain is minimized or misunderstood.

Pelvic health physical therapy can be an important part of support before surgery and throughout the endometriosis journey. Techniques like manual lymph drainage, visceral mobilization, vascular and myofascial release can help improve tissue mobility, reduce tension, and support the body as it prepares for and recovers from treatment.

Most importantly, you deserve care that listens to your story and treats your whole body — not just your symptoms. Trauma-informed pelvic PT focuses on helping you feel safe, supported, and empowered in your healing.

If you’ve been living with pelvic pain and wondering if anyone understands, know that you’re not alone. There are people who take your symptoms seriously and want to help.
