Itchy ears in perimenopause is a real thing
and no one warns you šŸ‘‚

Honestly it has been one of the most annoying symptoms for me.

Falling estrogen dries out skin and mucous membranes all over the body, including your ear canal, which can cause a deep, persistent itch with zero infection in sight.

If your doctor has ruled out infection or wax buildup, this might be your answer.

Drop ašŸ‘‚if you’ve had this one.

And if so I’m sorry!

Tell me your hypermobile without telling me your hypermobilešŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø I saw this pic as I was scrolling through photos to print off my phone (Shutterfly free prints this weekend!) and literally gasped out loud at how I was standing! To all of the zebras out there I am you and I got you! I’ve been passionate about helping my fellow bendy people for a loooong time! Get excited because new guidelines are coming in December for hEDS and we have a paper being published next year about pelvic health considerations for hEDS! It makes me so excited to see that so many more medical professionals are screening and treating people with hypermobility but we still have a long way to go to raise even more awareness that a bendy body is just different than a non bendy one and we have to view treatment through different lens!

🌟Gold star behavior, in my personal opinion 🌟
I made the list. I’m allowed to be on it too!

Treating the whole person, not just the symptom on the intake form.

Taking the full hour without overlapping another patient.

Believing you when other providers didn’t.

And yes, getting way too excited about my own journey in perimenopause and hypermobility because trauma informed care starts with me being honest about my own body too.

This is what I actually think good care looks like. Not a brand.

A person, showing up fully, every session.

If you’re tired of feeling rushed or dismissed and want care that actually treats you like a whole person, comment HEAL and I’ll send you info on getting started.

This one is close to home for me.

During perimenopause, pelvic floor tissues lose collagen and elasticity as estrogen drops. That tissue change is why symptoms like urinary urgency, leakage, or pelvic discomfort can show up out of nowhere, or why symptoms you already had can suddenly get worse.

This isn’t something you have to just live with, and it isn’t a sign that your body is failing you. It’s a normal, explainable response to a hormone shift, and it’s also very treatable.

If you’ve noticed changes like these, you’re not imagining it, and you’re not alone.

Let’s talk about it.

Here’s something that might surprise you: fascia has nerve endings, just like your skin does.

That means it’s capable of holding tension, and yes, even emotion.

It’s part of why some bodywork can bring up more than just physical release. Your body remembers, and fascia is often part of the story.

Curious how fascia might be playing into your symptoms?

5 things I don’t do as a pelvic health PT šŸ‘‡

I don’t hook you up to a machine and walk away. I don’t pass you off to a tech. I don’t dismiss your symptoms or assume I already know your story. I don’t tell you to do something I wouldn’t do myself (looking at you, kegels, I don’t do them and they’re not one size fits all). And I don’t strain when I p**p šŸ˜… (yes, even I practice good bathroom mechanics).

You get a full hour, one on one, with care that’s actually built around your body and your story, not a generic protocol.

Ready to feel like yourself again?

Menopause Monday!

Night sweats. Irregular periods. These are the symptoms everyone talks about when it comes to perimenopause. But often, they’re not the first sign at all.

The first sign is usually something much harder to put a finger on. It’s people telling me, ā€œI just don’t feel like myself.ā€ Not a specific symptom. Just a sense that something has shifted, even if they can’t quite name what.

That vague feeling is real, and it deserves to be taken seriously, not brushed off or chalked up to stress. If something feels off, you don’t need a textbook symptom list to justify getting answers.

Let’s talk about it. Book your visit: link in bio!

Ever notice pain in one part of your body but the real problem seems to live somewhere else?

Fascia might be the missing link. Because it’s all connected, tightness or restriction in one area can absolutely create pain in a completely different spot.

It’s one of the reasons a thorough evaluation looks at the whole body, not just where it hurts.

Curious how fascia might be playing into your symptoms?

I did not think I’d be this excited over a patch. šŸ˜…
Reunited with my estrogen patch and it feels so good šŸŽ¶. A full month of pharmacy back and forth and I finally have it back.
Quick hormone therapy truth: it’s not for everyone, and it’s not the whole perimenopause story. That’s a conversation for you and your prescribing provider. But for me, it’s been a game changer.
Here’s what people don’t always see though and what the 2 menopause certifications I have taught me: I’m still lifting heavy, protecting my sleep, managing my stress, and eating enough protein and fiber every day. HRT isn’t replacing that work. It’s amplifying it.
Perimenopause care isn’t one fix. It’s a toolbox. This is just one tool that works really well for me. šŸ’› If you have any questions, let me know! I’m here for ya!
