That's how Amelia Drummond, Divisional Merchandise Manager of Beauty at Urban Outfitters, described Moodzee after meeting us at BITE New York in September. We're still smiling about it!
More than 70 emerging brands filled the Metropolitan Pavilion, with buyers from Target, Sephora Canada, CVS, Space NK, Nordstrom and more walking the floor. Being named in Beauty Independent's roundup of retailer favorites is a moment we won't forget.
What meant the most was that Amelia got exactly what we're building: aromatherapy that's approachable for everyone, single-note formulas made to do one thing well, and an accessory you'd actually want to show off, whether it's a rollerball on our acrylic desktop stand or a charm clipped to your bag. 👜

We started Moodzee because essential oils felt stuck in a dusty corner of the shelf. Hearing that we're bringing the category "to the masses" tells us we're on the right track.

48 hours in New York with Moodzee 💙

Two days ago, founder + CEO Laura McCann was unpacking boxes, taking over every inch of available space and figuring out how Moodzee would come to life at BITE.

Yesterday, it did.

From building the booth at the Metropolitan Pavilion to introducing Moodzee, sharing our limited-edition crossover bundles and meeting the beauty and wellness community at BITE, this was a big New York moment for our little mood-shifting brand.

And yes — as Laura says, the physical world changes everything. You plan it, pack it, ship it… and then reality hits. Somehow, it all comes together.

Our BITE gifts paired Moodzee aromatherapy with our crossover bags and accessories — combinations created to help you feel grounded, energized, cool, calm or ready for whatever the day brings.
