The plant folx I live with have given me rich opportunities to root my practice of noticing into relationships. Everything in the universe is in relationship to all else. Noticing reverently serves that fundamental truth. Noticing the droop of a stem or the dryness of a leaf deepens my knowledge of care they need, love they can receive, relationship that they desire. Plants have guided me to deep, generative noticing where any communication binary collapses into the oneness of the universe. Whether I notice them is a reliable indicator of whether my pace is slow enough to notice anything, including my Self. Who connects the practice of noticing to relationship for you?

This post does not explain the harm that unquestioned assumptions can allow. There are stories from all over that do.
The language feels limiting, so it must have time to evolve
and
this concept offers seeds of by occupying space beyond my mind. My hope is those seeds take root, given the amount of cultivated assumptions I come across in my role as a mediator. So even with the unmatured language I’m sharing this concept now because if not now, when?

Creative destruction/deconstruction of that drive or idea revealed the call to

Yesterday an e-mail from the ACLU said no resolutions, “just resoluteness” in the subject line - that is the energy with which I am moving slower.
I am no longer positioned with a line of sight that goes months, not to mention years, ahead. I am preserving, maybe planning, my slower pace day by day and moment by moment.
The foggy morning here is a reminder that a cloud cousin has come to meet me on my path. My ☁️ guide is directing my attention to what is closest to me, lessening what is overlooked and underserved because I am lingering where I may otherwise have leaped.

There is a flow ☁️ to go with that defies
drives that rush past somatic wisdom and
ideas that require haste
for all time, present and future included.

To do as we can to have more beauty and benefit in community. To dream, to imagine, to take up space with vision - because the alternative is to be limited. Creativity fuels possibility, and possibility fuels choice.
Example: A “no” in the absence of creativity may lead to decisions and strategies based on scarcity or fear; when creativity is a principle of consent, then “no” can be honored as a clarification rather than undervalued as a termination.
