In case you missed it, today Evie and I went LIVE with Mental Coach, So Connected-Stacey Herman! Stacy has a fantastic group: Athletes Who Settle For More where she offers tips and advice for athletes to stay on top of their game!

She offers one-on-one and team sessions, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Evie has been struggling since going back to gym, and after one session with Stacey, I could physically see the tension melt off her shoulders. She has been a much more positive and confident gymnast since she began meeting with her!

So much of what Stacey does for athletes goes hand in hand with MyIntent. Setting your intentional word of the day/week/month, etc.

Here are some of the pieces I created for Stacey, as well as a special one that's a So Connected Signature, created by Evie!

Evie is the definition of "keep going". Over the last two years, chronic pain has been something she's had to deal with far more than we had hoped. She fights to keep going, and keep trying, even when so many would have given up. She goes to the gym, every practice, and does what she can. She watches her friends and teammates working on things she wishes she could. It is rare that she complains.

Recently , after another gymnast asked why she couldn't participate in some of the conditioning, told her she was lucky she didn't have to do it. Evie simply responded "you're the lucky one".

She has never been afraid of hard work, and has, multiple times now, worked her way back from being out, and gone on to gain new, harder skills. I have no doubt she will do the same this time.

We recently learned that the treatment she has received, that has helped her, is no longer an option. Now, that whole "keep going" mindset has lead us to a Dr. at Boston Children's. He as agreed to see Evie, and perform a surgery that could mean she won't ever have to deal with this pain again!

So, no matter what obstacle is thrown at you next, keep going. You'll get through it. We don't know what the future holds, but we will choose to keep going.

Welcome, friends!

I became a MyIntent Maker for a couple of simple reasons:

1) I fell in love with what MyIntent stands for. "Our mission is to be a catalyst for meaningful conversations and positive action." I felt like it was such a simple yet beautiful thing in a world that seems more confusing and often divisive by the day.

2) Evie and I felt like this was a great opportunity to spread more positivity and use it as a fundraiser to help offset the cost of her sport. We love that we can sit and create unique, meaningful pieces for people and enjoy conversations around other's intentions. We can learn so much from other people through these conversations we have even with each other.

I would love to create something for you, or help your find your word, even if I'm not creating a piece for you, right now.

I can meet with your small group, use this as a team bonding experience, create pieces for your girl's night, etc. There are so many ways I would love to help you connect with those around you, through your word.

I will be offering this as a fundraising opportunity for others in the near future. If this is something that you're interested in, please let me know and I will keep you informed as that takes shape!
