This week, Medical Ma*****na Therapeutics (MMT) had the privilege of being recognized at the Georgia State Capitol for the impact we've had on patients across our state.

We are deeply honored to receive this House Resolution, HR24EX, and remain committed to the mission that has guided us for the past 7 years: doing everything we can to improve the quality of life for every patient we have the privilege of serving through compassionate care, education, and individualized guidance.

A heartfelt thank you to Karen Lupton Georgia House District 83 (Representative Karen Lupton) for sponsoring this resolution and recognizing the dedication and hard work of our team over the past 7 years. This honor belongs not only to us, but also to every patient who has trusted us to be part of their journey.

Georgia has had a medical cannabis program since 2015, but outdated terminology and limited access prevented the program from reaching its full potential.

We are proud to have advocated for meaningful changes through the Putting Georgia’s Patients First Act (SB 220) - legislation designed to modernize Georgia’s medical cannabis program and better serve patients across our state.

Beginning July 1, 2026, patients will see important updates, including:

✅ The official transition from “Low-THC Oil” to “Medical Cannabis”

✅ A pathway for the vaporization of medical cannabis oils and flower, pending state regulatory approval

✅ A new dosage-based system allowing patients to possess up to 12,000 mg of THC total, with individual products limited to 1,200 mg each

✅ Increased physician oversight and improved patient access

✅ Expanded qualifying conditions, including lupus, severe arthritis, and severe insomnia

At MMT, we believe education and individualized guidance are essential to helping patients navigate these changes with confidence.
