HOW YOU PACK THE BOX IS AS IMPORTANT AS WHAT GOES IN IT.
Most people underestimate how much difference correct packing makes — until something arrives broken or a box collapses on the way out of the van.
A few rules we follow on every single pack:
Start by lining the base of the box with rolled packing paper. Then build up the sides for the fragiles with rolled paper too — it protects items from the walls of the box in transit.
Heavy items always go at the bottom, light items on top. Fragile items get their own dedicated FRAGILE-labelled box — never mixed in with general items. Books go in small boxes only.
Fill every empty space with packing paper before sealing — empty space means things move, and things that move in transit tend to arrive damaged.
Mark the destination room on all four sides of the box, not just the top. And write the contents clearly on top.
When the boxes are stacked in the van, you should be able to read where they're going from any angle.
Less mess, less stress.
