For almost 3 years now our family has chosen to acknowledge a day of rest from sun-down to sun-down Friday-Saturday.
This example of rest was laid out for us in Genesis 2:2-3 by our heavenly Father and given to us as a commandment (Exodus 20:10). We see it highlighted in Leviticus 23:2-3 and our Messiah also lived and observed the Sabbath as well. In Hebrews 4:4-11, the importance and blessing of it was discussed and (because people like to divide old/new testament) AFTER Yeshua died,rose, and left the earth Yah’s appointed times (Moedim) were still being observed in Acts/Corinthians/Zechariah.
Since returning to the narrow path I have seen Deuteronomy 28:1-14 show up in our lives like never before. Obedience truly has been better than sacrifice and ultimately we are living and walking out John 14:15.
There is much research and understanding we are still navigating in how we keep time currently vs. what Yah initially gave us, but Yeshua will put it all in order once He returns.
Until then for me and my house it’s Leviticus 23:21 “It shall be a statute FOREVER in all your dwellings throughout your generations.” 🤗
