One of the biggest misconceptions we hear about Yoga retreats is:
“I haven't been practicing Yoga long enough to go on a Yoga retreat.”
And honestly?
It doesn't matter...
At FLOW Yoga Retreats, each trip includes people who practice Yoga every day, people who only practice when they retreat with us, and people who are stepping onto a mat for the very first time.
Some guests come to every single class. (Looking at you, "Mama + Papa FLOW" ☺️)
Some skip half of them to chill, explore, journal, nap, or sit quietly by the ocean.
We've even had a couple folk that skipped all the Yoga to enjoy their other hobbies (e.g., photography).
All of it is welcome. This is your retreat. Do you.
Because for us, Yoga has never been about achieving the perfect pose or performing spirituality. It's not about posing for IG pics or magazine covers. Yoga is not even always done on a mat.
Yoga creates space to come home to yourself. Nothing more. Nothing less.
When Yoga first entered my life decades ago, it didn’t pave a path of change because I suddenly became more flexible or physically “good” at Yoga. Trust me on that one. No handstands. No arm balances. No bending to become a pretzel. Instead, Yoga offered a space to slowly, gently, help dissolve old stories I carried about myself and opened space for more wholeness, presence, breath, connection, and self-compassion.
That understanding became part of the heart of FLOW Yoga Retreats.
Our Yoga offerings are intentionally designed for all bodies, all levels, and all seasons of life — active when you want movement, restorative when you need softness, always invitational rather than performative. Maybe you do every pose in every class. Maybe you don't do any. It doesn't matter. You do you.
Journey with Heart is not about becoming someone different.
It’s about giving yourself permission to slow down enough to remember who you already are.
No yoga experience required.
No perfection required.
Just an open heart and a willingness to be exactly as you are.
