Let’s talk about why travel agents charge a markup on hosted group trips. 👀✈️

Because while this is your vacation, this is WORK for me.

A hosted group trip can mean MONTHS of:

✨ Managing bookings, payments, changes & cancellations
✨ Facilitating the group chat and answering questions
✨ Coordinating everyone’s airport transportation and different flights
✨ Planning excursions, dinners, activities & itineraries
✨ Finding, coordinating with, and vetting vendors for safety
✨ Making sure everyone has the information they need
✨ Handling logistics and problems before AND during the trip
✨ And actually hosting the group once we arrive

Yes, travel agents may receive commission, but commission pays us for booking the travel. Planning, coordinating and hosting the entire group is an additional service.

So when you say, “I found the hotel cheaper online…”

You probably did. 😂 But you found a hotel room.

You didn’t find somebody spending months coordinating an entire experience so you can pull up, grab your drink and ask, “What time we meeting in the lobby?” 😂🥂

You’re on vacation.

I’m at work.

And THAT is what the markup (or Research & Design fee) pays for. ✈️
