While most clients need some assistance working the spring, Lynne proves that women can excel at a “ typically reserved for men” exercise. Also almost all our male clients need some type of assistance for Swakati, not so our dear Lynne!!!

Kumo’s Spa Day was a total success! Poor baby has a very bad skin condition! It took 2 hrs to get it all done. At the end I was covered in fur and had his fur stuck in my eye lashes. But what matters is that he feels so much better now after his medicated bath. Doesn’t he look spectacular?!

Dogvana Dog Grooming and Self Wash in Fontana was a fantastic experience. It’s women owned, a mother and daughter duo! Andrea has been a vet tech for many years and a dog grooming business has always been her dream! She opened Dogvana a mere 4 months ago and I can tell you it’s the best dog grooming experience I had in my 6 years doing rescue in Los Angeles. I very much recommend their services. They do dog grooming as well and have a separate dryer room and huge wash stations for people who rather do it themselves.

I had not seen this boy hold his tail up high but he did today. Look at that swag.

Kumo is available for adoption and is currently residing in Fontana. He is a very calm and affectionate boy! We recommend no other pets and kids over the age of 10 years old.

We still need more funding to cover his neuter and dental. His gofundme stands at $600. We estimate the total to be closer to $1,500 (bloodwork, vaccinations, dental, neuter).

Many of you know me as a Pilates teacher but some of you also know that I am an independent rescuer.

Last week my rescue friend Julie and I took another pup. This majestic Japanese Akita was seen roaming the streets of Bakersfield for weeks. For weeks he begged for help, literally going to people’s front door asking for help. No one but one family did the right thing.

After hearing that he roamed the streets of Bakersfield alone likely abandoned, we knew we had to help. His condition is heartbreaking! He suffers from a skin infection, worn teeth, and has possible nerve damage to his tail. And to top it off, underneath all that fluff, he is just skin and bones! Judging by his appearance and body condition we assume he has been on his own for a quite some time. Kumo is the sweetest and most gentle soul and so deserving of a second chance. He is just a cloud of fur! Hence we thought it was just appropriate to name him Kumo which is Japanese for “ cloud”.

While it is true that we have to adhere to the legal strayhold and do our best to find a possible owner, we must get him vetted asap.

We’re committed to giving him the care he deserves, but we need your support to help us cover his medical expenses. Your support helps us provide a full medical work up incl bloodwork, vaccines, neuter, dental, vaccines and a safe place for Kumo to heal. While Julie and I got housing covered, we need to raise between $1,500 to $2,000 for his medical.
