Self-Care Saturday: Swimming Is Exercise and Support 💦💛
Swimming and water exercise are great because they give your body movement without so much strain on your joints. The water supports you while still helping you build strength, endurance, flexibility, and heart health.
You can try:
* lap swimming
* water walking
* water aerobics
* aqua dance classes
* stretching in the pool
Water exercise can be especially helpful for people with arthritis, joint pain, knee or back discomfort, beginners, and older adults who need lower-impact movement.
And if you don’t have your own pool, check your local YMCA, recreation center, gym, aquatic center, or wellness center.
