The good news? Updated 2026 AUA guidelines now recommend that clinicians can omit stent placement after ESWL if it’s used to improve stone clearance, or after an uncomplicated URS**.

That said, stents remain an important tool in recovery, especially if you're dealing with ureteral swelling or a possible stone blockage! 🩺

The recommended daily vitamin D intake for an average adult is 600 international units (IU), which can be obtained naturally from foods like eggs and oily fish (e.g. salmon, mackerel), along with moderate sun exposure. 🐟☀️

Most supplements contain 1000 IU, far exceeding what you need! Too much vitamin D causes more calcium to be excreted in your urine, raising your risk of developing calcium-based kidney stones.

Unless you've been diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency, it’s best to skip the supplements! 🙌🏻
