Holding poses for ten breaths is humbling.
It reveals everything. Your fault lines. Your compensations. Your impatience. Your strength. Your fear.
Seven months ago, I was recovering from double knee bone bruises and a quad rupture. My practice changed after that. It had to.
I don’t move the same anymore. I listen more. I honor what I know now instead of forcing what I used to be able to do.
There are poses I approach differently now. Transitions I slow down in. Days where stability matters more than intensity.
Some days you fly. Some days you shake and stumble through and stay anyway. Both count.
