Anastomotic leaks remain one of the most serious complications in colorectal surgery, driving longer hospital stays, higher readmission rates, and increased healthcare costs.¹ A retrospective, multicenter study published in the European Surgical Research Journal found a low 1.7% anastomotic leak rate among complicated diverticulitis patients who received AMNIOFIX® as a protective barrier after colectomy anastomosis.²
