Usher 2020 is a non-profit dedicated to slowing or stopping the degeneration of sight caused by Usher Syndrome, the leading genetic cause of deaf blindness, and Retinitis Pigmentosa. In 2012, Usher 2020 Foundation was started as a 501(c)(3) non-profit to help fund researchers working on therapies to help those with Usher Syndrome keep their sight. Through research we have supported over the years, we are now closer than ever to finding sight-saving therapies for those with Usher Syndrome and Retinitis Pigmentosa. At Usher 2020, we are working to expedite this research into Clinical Trials so that those losing their vision now have options for treatments before they go blind.
