Celebrating and self reflecting on trips around the sun, and if there’s one thing 34 has taught me, it’s that true growth happens when you refuse to settle. 🥂✨
I’m endlessly grateful for a life that allows me to evolve both personally and professionally. As a Service District Educator, my career takes me places, connects me with incredible minds, and opens doors that so many miss because they get distracted or comfortably stuck. Between traveling for work, celebrating milestone moments, building deep new connections, and help bringing my new pup into the fold—this year has been a masterclass in living intentionally.
Personal growth, social expansion, and professional passion don’t have to be separate paths; they all feed each other. Time is moving fast, the experiences are piling up, and I’m ready to capture every single second moving forward (seriously, ordering those smart glasses ASAP 👓📸).
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey—new friends, loved ones, coworkers, and this incredible community. We’re just getting started. 💫

Turning 34 in Southern California hit different. 🌴✨ This milestone trip was a complete taste of SoCal magic, and an experience I will never, ever forget.
The truth is, the last couple of years have been a quiet, isolated chapter of looking inward. I had to rely solely on myself, build my own foundation, and learn the art of true independence. It took nobody but me to get to where I am today, and I am so incredibly proud of that growth. I spent a lifetime putting everyone else forward, but I’ve finally stepped into the light of exactly what I deserve.
Consider this my official re-introduction. I know a lot of people love me, but this iteration of Jake is entirely new. It’s a chapter nobody knows yet—and you’re going to have to get to know me all over again.
From the energy of Hollywood and WeHo nights, to the theme parks in Anaheim and dancing through the clubs down to Broadway in Long Beach... every single meal, drink, and memory was a reminder of what it feels like to truly live. Getting to share space with amazing new friends, and reconnecting with a very special piece of my heart, made it pure magic. 🎬🥂
This year is wholeheartedly, unapologetically about me. The old me is a beautiful memory, but this version is fiercely independent, living in the light, and never looking back. Chapter 34, what you gonna teach me now, let’s go. 👑🌊

Blessed, inspired, and officially Redken-fueled! 🎨 Fueling my passion at the Symposium invited by was exactly what I needed.It was an honor to unite under Redken alongside so many talented District Educators from across the country. Between mastering new skills, diving into upcoming trends, and catching a quick, memorable view of the strip, it was an unforgettable trip.I am so excited to bring this elevated knowledge back to empower my district. Happy beginning of pride yall! 🏳️‍🌈✨ Kicking off the month by seeing some of my favorite artists and living my absolute best life. From dancing under the stars with Khalid in Georgia to getting completely central-florida-gagged at the Kitty Kat Ball in Orlando, this past week has been a dream. Looking back at how much I’ve grown to get to this point, I’m just so incredibly glad to be a part of a community that absolutely embraces exactly who you are. It feels so good to finally be happy in this space, and more importantly, happy in my own skin as a proud bi male that needs to explain to no one. Lord knows there will be more to come! Everyone, meet the newest member of the family: Mr. Chester Sourdough Blake! 🐾❤️
I recently rescued this amazing 1-year-old boy from a cosmetic testing laboratory. His life started out confined to a cage, but he is officially safe for life now.
Right now, he’s half puppy and half just learning how the world works. We are navigating some big trust issues and PTSD together, but every single day he is blossoming. It is the most fulfilling feeling in the world to watch him finally feel safe enough to just be a dog.
While I’m teaching him how to navigate his new life, he’s already teaching me so much. He’s reminding me to slow down and appreciate the simple things—like the feeling of the breeze and the grass under our feet.
Life got so much sweeter the moment our paths crossed. Words can’t express how excited I am for the next decade or two with this resilient, beautiful boy. Welcome home, Chester. You are safe, you are loved, and you are officially spoiled! 🐶✨
