Reconnecting with a kid who’s pulled away doesn’t have to happen all at once. Elaine and Diane wrap their three-part series on relationship repair by focusing on small, doable steps — texts that don’t ask for a reply, sharing popcorn on the couch, asking permission before offering advice.

They talk about why their sense of safety (not your good intentions) is what determines whether your kid lets you back in, and how the phrase “up until now” can free you from the guilt spiral so you can actually get started.

If you’re rebuilding trust with your neurodivergent kid, this series is your roadmap.

Understanding neurodivergence is important but awareness alone doesn’t always tell us what to do next.

Someone can thrive in one environment and struggle in another. A child can succeed at school but have a completely different experience at home. A professional can recognize neurodivergence but still miss the context behind the challenge.

That’s why having a framework matters.

The goal isn’t simply to know more about neurodivergence. It’s to better understand what’s happening, why the context matters, and how we can respond differently.

If you’re a parent or professional who works with neurodivergent children, teens, or adults, this is a conversation worth joining.

Does it feel like your kid is pulling away?

Always closing their door. Avoiding you. Only talking to you when they have to.

For neurodiverse families, this shift often isn't a red flag. It's normal development colliding with an already taxed parent-child relationship. In this episode, and dig into where that disconnect actually happens and what works to rebuild trust and connection with your kid.

They unpack the shift from "I'm afraid for you" to "I believe in you," and why that one mindset change can transform your whole dynamic. Trust isn't just about honesty. It's a felt sense of safety and comfort, and that's something you can help create even when things feel disconnected right now.

If you've been feeling shut out, this episode is your on-ramp back in.

The end of summer can be especially challenging for adults with ADHD.

Work ramps up. Meetings return. Projects pile up.

And suddenly everything feels urgent.
The answer isn't working harder.

It's learning how to reduce the mental clutter, focus on what actually matters, and create systems that work with your brain instead of against it.

That's exactly what we'll be sharing during the FREE Crush It at Work and School Summit (Aug. 31-Sept. 3) with 20 ADHD and executive function experts.
