Catalyst Sports

Catalyst Sports Making Adventures Accessible. https://linktr.ee/catalystsports We operate chapters in 8 different cities around the southeast.

Catalyst Sports is a chapter based, volunteer run, 501c3 non-profit organization that acts as an agent of change in the lives of people with physical disabilities and our communities. Adventure sports provide a fun and exciting platform for challenging ourselves mentally, physically and emotionally. When this challenge takes place alongside a supportive and encouraging community of people, we all

discover our abilities, our need for each other and the importance of living active and healthy lives. Each chapter has a unique community of participants and volunteers that run weekly, bi-weekly or monthly adventure programs throughout the year. Our foundation rests on three tenants...

ACCESS: Through innovative adaptive equipment and with the support of trained volunteers, we break down the barriers that prevent people with physical disabilities from accessing adventure sports in their community. COMMUNITY: All of our adventures take place alongside a supportive and inclusive community of people. IMPACT: Our adventures impact the participants, the volunteers and the entire community. Through these programs, people with physical disabilities are empowered to discover their strength and abilities and everyone discovers that we all play a part.

What a year it has already been in Great Smoky Mountains National Park! 🏔️

So far in 2026, people with disabilities have had the chance to experience the Smokies through adaptive fly fishing at Tremont, a magical night hike on Little River Trail, and an adaptive hike along the Oconaluftee River Trail.

Each program has created opportunities for adventure in one of the most beautiful places in the country.

A huge thank you to our incredible partners who help make these experiences possible, including Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Friends of Great Smoky Mountains National Park , Knox County, Trout Unlimited, the amazing National Park Service rangers, and every volunteer, participant, and supporter who showed up with joy and encouragement.

We are so grateful to continue helping make the outdoors more accessible for people with disabilities. More Smoky Mountain adventures are still to come!
