Catalyst Sports

Catalyst Sports Making Adventures Accessible. https://linktr.ee/catalystsports We operate chapters in 8 different cities around the southeast.

Catalyst Sports is a chapter based, volunteer run, 501c3 non-profit organization that acts as an agent of change in the lives of people with physical disabilities and our communities. Adventure sports provide a fun and exciting platform for challenging ourselves mentally, physically and emotionally. When this challenge takes place alongside a supportive and encouraging community of people, we all

discover our abilities, our need for each other and the importance of living active and healthy lives. Each chapter has a unique community of participants and volunteers that run weekly, bi-weekly or monthly adventure programs throughout the year. Our foundation rests on three tenants...

ACCESS: Through innovative adaptive equipment and with the support of trained volunteers, we break down the barriers that prevent people with physical disabilities from accessing adventure sports in their community. COMMUNITY: All of our adventures take place alongside a supportive and inclusive community of people. IMPACT: Our adventures impact the participants, the volunteers and the entire community. Through these programs, people with physical disabilities are empowered to discover their strength and abilities and everyone discovers that we all play a part.

Rally your crew and take on the wall together.

This isn’t just about climbing, it’s about showing up for each other and creating more access in our community. Every step helps expand access to adaptive climbing for athletes with physical disabilities.

Grab your people. Set a goal. Make an impact.

Last weekend's The Alabama Potluck (formerly Camp and Climb), in partnership with Climb Beyond the Barrier, brought together people from across the Southeast, creating space for those who are often underrepresented in the outdoors.

Yes, there was lots of climbing—clinics, guided routes, and time on the wall building skills and confidence. But what made this weekend truly special was everything happening in between! From bird watching clinics to yoga and simply gathering around for meals, there was space for people to slow down, connect, and belong.

Our mission is not just to create opportunities to get outdoors, but to create spaces for people of all abilities to really connect. And this weekend was a beautiful picture of that!

A huge thank you to Hanger Foundation and Friends of Charles Wilgus for sponsoring this event, and for investing in a vision where adaptive athletes are fully supported and celebrated.

We’re grateful for every person who showed up and made this weekend what it was!

Thank you to Andrea Wood - Photographer and Jason Traylor for capturing the most beautiful pictures!!

Every day, we get to see what happens when barriers are removed.

A first climb that turns into confidence.
A ride that becomes independence.
A moment on the water that reminds someone what freedom feels like again.

This National Adaptive Sports Day, we’re celebrating the athletes, volunteers, and partners who make this possible—and inviting you to be part of it.

Whether it’s your first time or your hundredth, there’s a place for you here.

We're a few months into our Kids Ride! Bike Loaner Program, and are already seeing the impact of accessibility.

Kids who didn't think riding a bike was possible are out in their communities experiencing freedom, confidence, and pure joy.

In this video, you’ll see it firsthand—kids on bikes, smiles you can’t miss, and a special moment hearing from one of our riders and his mom about what this opportunity means to their family.

The Kids Ride! Bike Loaner Program by Catalyst Sports is giving youth aged 5-17 with physical disabilities in Atlanta the chance to ride free of charge, with support as they grow.

And we’re just getting started!
