We are honored to be a recipient of the Power of the Purse Grant. This support directly advances our mission to expand access to quality, compassionate healthcare for women who are uninsured or underinsured in our community. Through our Women’s Health Clinics, we are able to provide essential services, promote early detection, and help remove barriers to care.
We are deeply grateful to the Community Foundation of West Georgia for investing in the health and well-being of the women we serve and for standing alongside us in this important work.

The Community Foundation of West Georgia is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Power of the Purse (POP) grants, awarding funding to local nonprofit organizations that are making a meaningful difference in the lives of women, children, and families across the region.

We are so honored to support the Tanner Health Foundation and women’s health!🩷

Support from the Powerful in Pink 5K makes a meaningful impact through Tanner Health Foundation’s Mammogram Assistance Fund. 💗👟

A portion of proceeds from the event benefited the fund, helping provide free or reduced-cost mammograms for women in the community and removing financial barriers to early detection.

With one in eight women facing the risk of breast cancer, every contribution helps expand access to potentially lifesaving screenings.

Be The Light Medical Missions was founded in 2019 with one purpose, to love and serve others by providing free medical care and essential resources to those who need it most!

Through the Healing Grace Mobile Clinic, we bring care directly to those in need with:

🚐 Free transportation
🥫 Community food pantries

Our mission extends beyond our local community through outreach in Honduras, supporting:

Be the Light Medical Missions is honored to support the City of Buchanan and Four Winds Alabama through the donation of AEDs!
These recipients were selected through our AED application process, where local organizations and community spaces were invited to apply to receive a life-saving device for their location. After reviewing applications, these two were chosen based on their impact and the importance of having emergency resources available in their spaces.

Access to life-saving tools and proper training can make the difference between life and loss in an emergency. That’s why 3:16 Healthcare will also be providing hands-on training to ensure staff and community members know exactly how to respond and confidently use the AED if an emergency occurs.

By placing these resources directly into our communities, we hope to empower everyday people to act when it matters most.

Together, we are helping create safer spaces and strengthening our community!✨🩵
