Executive Director
New Beginnings of Georgia LLC a service provider for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Executive Director in DeKalb County, Georgia.
Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:
•Assures that all services provided are delivered according to the established standards by DBHDD, federal and state regulations, and policies & procedures.
•Participates in the development of long and short-term goals for the company.
•Creates and maintains a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation.
•Manages administrative activities, which include interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating the performance of, and when necessary, disciplining staff.
•Monitors and evaluates the quality and effectiveness of services and programs.
•Oversees the planning, development, scheduling, and implementation of residential services, day programs and activities.
•Participates in the development and administration of budgets.
•Plans and organizes program structure and policies to meet organizational and programmatic objectives according to DBHDD and policy and procedures.
•Some travel is required
•The job responsibilities and performance standards are not all inclusive. Therefore, the employee may be requested to perform other reasonably duties as assigned by the Managing Partners.
Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a human service field preferably in nursing, but not limited to and inclusive such as social work, psychology, education, or closely related field, and five years of experience in service delivery to persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities, with at least two of these years serving in a supervisory capacity. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel to multiple service sites, staying overnight as necessary. Experience in managing systems, processes, and people. Have a working knowledge of Federal, State and local regulations concerning services to individuals with mental retardation and/or other developmental disabilities. Also be able to demonstrate computer proficiency.
