🌱✨ Sanctuary Summit on The Farm hit different. It held me in ways I didn’t even know I needed.
Biko. Corrinna. Tanisha. Monaxi. Serena. Corina. Olivia. The farm midwives. Mama Bear. The artists. The familiar faces. The new ones that already feel like home.
THIS is what community looks like when it’s real.
Not perfect. Not always easy. There will be breakdowns. There will be mess-ups. But the repair, the willingness to show up anyway and do the work, THAT is where community actually lives.
The farm taught me that again. Birth. Life. Death. Community. They all move the same way. They all ask the same thing of us: presence, honesty, and the courage to stay.
Everything I witnessed, everything I felt in that space, it just confirmed what I already carry as a midwife, a mother, a partner, a friend.
I am exactly who I am supposed to be. 🌿
A MASSIVE shoutout to for bringing me into this fold, for showing up every single time as her full, authentic self, no apology, no performance, just her.
so much gratitude for you and your inclusion always!
And all honor, always, to my mentor Umm Salamah for paving the way, for the wisdom she carries, and for allowing us to sit at her feet. We don’t take that lightly. 🙏🏾
If community has ever made you feel like you finally exhaled, this is for you.
