If I’m speaking in Atlanta, there’s a good chance my mom will be there. ❤️

Today, I had the opportunity to talk about work-related hand, wrist, and elbow injuries, how hand surgeons treat them, and what patients can expect during recovery.

And my mom got to be there for it.

I’ve been thinking about work-life harmony rather than work-life balance. Maybe the goal isn’t to divide our time perfectly, but to create more moments where the different parts of our lives can coexist.

Sometimes, professional fulfillment and personal connection get to share the same room.

One thing I never travel internationally without: medical travel insurance.

The last thing you want on vacation is to be worrying about the cost of a doctor’s visit, medication, or in a serious situation, medical evacuation.

For my family, I consider travel medical insurance part of the cost of the trip. It’s an extra expense, but the peace of mind is worth it. Most important thing is finding a plan that fits your destination, trip, and needs.

Save this before your next trip ✈️🌎

I don’t think every doctor needs to own a practice.

There’s a lot I love about ownership, especially the freedom to shape the patient experience and practice medicine in a way that feels right to me.

But I’m also grateful I spent years as an employed physician first. I learned how I wanted to doctor, how I wanted patients to feel, and now, how I want to be an employer.

There’s no one right way to practice medicine. We need great doctors in every setting.

💡For my fellow physicians, would you choose employed practice, ownership, or a little of both?

As a hand surgeon, one of the biggest misconceptions I see is that pain automatically means surgery.

The reality? Many hand and wrist conditions can be treated without surgery, especially when they’re caught early. The more you understand about your symptoms, treatment options, and when to seek care, the better equipped you’ll be to make informed decisions about your health.

And if you’ve been dealing with persistent hand, wrist, or elbow pain, don’t wait until it starts affecting your daily life.

Three years in a row.

Honored to once again be named an Atlanta Magazine Top Doctor in both Hand Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery.

Because this recognition comes from fellow physicians, it carries special meaning. Their trust, along with the trust of my patients, is something I never take for granted.

As I continue building Cura Hand Surgery and Orthopedics , this honor motivates me even more to build the practice I want to work in and come to as a patient.

Thank you to my colleagues, referring physicians, and patients. Here’s to what’s ahead!
