Last week, we distributed 48,000 pounds of bread, snacks and water to wildfire evacuees in Brantley, Clinch, Bacon, Appling, Ware, Pierce, and Glynn counties. Our hearts go out to our friends and farmers in south Georgia who are dealing with so much loss right now. We're so grateful to our partners at for sharing their abundance and Move For Hunger for transporting it quickly!

We plan to send a truckload of produce to support our neighbors in south Georgia soon. If you'd like to help it get there, make a donation using the link in our bio!

As Black History Month comes to an end, we want to continue recognizing the leaders who have shaped efforts to address food access in Black communities and beyond.

For generations, Black farmers, advocates and educators have understood that access to nourishing food is critical to health. Leaders like George Washington Carver, who advanced sustainable farming practices; pioneers like Fannie Lou Hamer who worked to combat economic injustice; and modern food justice advocates like Karen Washington, continue to guide the work being done today.

As we serve Atlanta and surrounding communities, we’re proud to carry this legacy forward by increasing food access, rescuing and redistributing surplus food, and strengthening a more equitable local food system for families and children across our region! 🧡
