Closing my 561 sq ft LASH SUPPLY STORE, after having my daughter felt like failure. 🤦♀️ It was only 3 years in that location and well over 100k spent. It was one of the first of its kind, built in the middle of COVID, and my pride and joy. (And it wasn’t PPP money, baby that’s public records 😏)
But life changed quick, and once I became a mom I quickly realized that the systems I spent years building within my business no longer aligned with who I was becoming. A MOTHER FIRST.
Here’s where you learn who’s in business and just doing business.
Baby I’M IN BUSINESS! 12 years IN. So many are doing business but aren’t in it and it shows.
One thing I’m never afraid, ashamed, or embarrassed to do is PIVOT.
Your business blueprint doesn’t need an explanation. Too many of you have opened your back office to the public so much that when you need a moment to think, you’re too focused on explaining. (That’s a post for another day.)
Anywho, here’s to me celebrating shaking postpartum, finding my footing again, and giving myself permission to build a business that fits the life I have now, not the life I had before.
Because success isn’t holding on to something that no longer serves you.
Success is having the courage to let it go, pivot, and build again.
That location store closed.
The vision didn’t.
it expanded to 3000 sq ft on GOD’s timing.
And if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that every time life has forced me to reinvent myself, I’ve come back bigger, wiser, and more aligned than before.
