GAPI past president & current member of Board of Trustees Dr Indran B. Indrakrishnan, at the request of Ms Kathy Lemoine, wrote the foreword to her moving book, In His Own Time, written in memory of her son Andrew, who lost his life to advanced colon cancer at only 30 years of age. Dr Indrakrishnan diagnosed her son's colon cancer, making Andrew's story particularly close to his heart.On Georgia Cancer Day, Dr Indrakrishnan had the privilege of introducing Kathy to Governor Brian Kemp and the First Lady of Georgia Marty Kemp when she presented them with the first copy of her book. Kathy has turned a mother’s unimaginable loss into a mission to save others through awareness. Her book is available on Amazon.Colon cancer is not just a disease of older adults. Persistent re**al bleeding, changes in bowel habits, unexplained anemia, abdominal symptoms, or weight loss should never be dismissed simply because someone is “too young.”Andrew’s story carries a powerful message: Listen to your body. Seek help early. Early detection can save lives.

He spoke on " Autism & Humanity : Building the world that understands" highlighting the importance of empathy, awareness, and acceptance in creating an inclusive society.
