🌟 Saturday Supertech Spotlight: Shamim! 🌟

This Saturday, we’re excited to recognize someone who has been an incredible part of the Atlanta Eye Group from the very beginning!

Shamim joined AEG back in 2016 as a technician at Cumberland, and she’s been an important part of our growth ever since. From Clinical Manager to her current role in our Medical Billing and Auditing Team, she’s continued to bring her experience and knowledge to wherever she’s needed most. 🧾

She has been there through so much of AEG’s journey and has contributed in more ways than we could possibly list. Her experience, work ethic, and commitment to our patients have made her someone we’ve been able to rely on year after year.

✨ Doctor of the Month: Dr. Noorani ✨

AEG is proud to recognize Dr. Noorani as our Doctor of the Month for August! We are also excited to announce that Dr. Noorani has transitioned from our Tucker location and is now accepting patients at our Kennesaw office.

In honor of Back-to-School Month, we want to highlight Dr. Noorani’s exceptional work in myopia management. She serves as a Change Agent for the Myopia Collective, demonstrating her passion for myopia management. As children head back to the classroom, it’s important to keep their eye health in mind. Dr. Noorani works with young patients and their families to address myopia early and develop a plan that fits each child’s individual needs.

Another fantastic Professional Development Series with Atlanta Eye Group! 🧠📚

Yesterday, Dr. Aditi Bellur, led an incredible session on ocular procedures including electroretinography (ERG) interpretation, visual field testing, anterior segment imaging, and more! 👩‍⚕️

A big thank you to Josh Johnson O.D. and Tarsus Pharmaceuticals for educating us on everything you need to know about Demodex mites, eyelid health, and how Demodex Blepharitis affects our contact lens patients. From understanding the 3 ways Demodex mites cause inflammation to spotting key signs like collarettes, we’re excited to take these new insights straight back to our patients! 👁️

Lastly, we are preparing for our Paraoptometric Celebration Month! Our current and future CPOs wrapped up today’s meeting by diving back into their CPO training with custom questions from our CPO Educator, Dr. Ashka Patel. We can’t wait to highlight and celebrate our incredible team next month! 🤓🌟

Since joining Atlanta Eye Group as part of our Call Center Team in November 2024, Ayana has become someone both patients and teammates can count on. She brings a thoughtful approach to every interaction and helps make patients feel comfortable, even on the busiest days.

No matter what’s going on, Ayana is someone who remains patient and approachable. She’s quick to help wherever she’s needed, works well with everyone around her, and brings a positive energy that makes the day a little brighter. Her kindness and reliability have made such a positive impact, and she’s become an important part of our team. Patients may only hear her voice over the phone, but they can tell they’re talking to someone who genuinely cares.
