❤️The past few months have been some of the most intense times of my life. I felt as if I was being served one bowl after another of s**t stew.
🧡Just when I would bob back up to the surface, another storm would hit. I felt like I opened Pandora's box, I was being tested like Job, I was Arjuna being told by Krishna that it was my duty to go to war.
💛The thing about me is, I'm a pacifist. I live under yogic principles such as loving kindness and compassion in thought, word and deed, truthfulness and surrendering to a higher power. I do my best to make the world a better place by sharing my unique gifts and let go of the rest. I ask the Divine to be a vessel to be used in any way they see fit to support the highest good of all. Sometimes you might even hear me say "I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm not in charge of who I serve." I trust that I'll always be in the right place at the right time and I will always pour love into everything I do.
💚Am I perfect? Oh geeze Louise, of course not, silly gooseman! I'm a human, which means I'm a work in progress. But you best believe I engage in self-reflection, take accountability for my actions, apologize when needed and work really hard to do and be better than where I came from.
💙I've recently been reminded that our actions and intentions aren't always interpreted the way we hope they will be. It's a gentle invitation to remember that there are three sides to every story. The most loving thing we can do is stay curious, seek understanding, and be willing to hear another perspective.
💜If anyone hears something about me and it piques their curiosity, sounds a little off, feels yucky in their tummy or heart when they hear it, please know this: I live my life as an open book. My truthfulness is one of my best qualities, if I do say so myself. I grew up in a dysfunctional family where lying was the go-to, I was damaged by it firsthand and I saw what it did to people. So I decided a long time ago that I would be a truth teller, a light shiner, an accountability taker and a cycle breaker.
❤️If you've been following me for a while then you know that I write about and speak about my experiences as a way to process my emotions and to inspire others to tap into the power of vulnerability, using the muck of life to transmute it into magic. Like the caterpillar who falls apart in the chrysalis only to be rebuilt into a brand new butterfly. The link in my bio can take you to my blog, so you can see, I have a plethora of vulnerable shares about growing up in dysfunction, being a developmental trauma survivor, mental health, and living with androgenic alopecia (just to name a few).
🧡I do not take this stuff lightly. If you should hear my name and wonder or have questions feel free to reach out to me directly. I am more than willing to have hard conversations.
💛I am proud of who I have become, of all that I've accomplished. I refuse to dim my light, stand silent while false claims are made against me, or let anyone attempt to shame or ridicule me. You got the wrong person.
💚Thank you for reading my share.
