Today’s my last day covering for Dr. Wilson while she’s home snuggling her new baby boy, and I just want to say a huge thank you to the team at Fair Chiropractic — Dr. Fair, Anita, Ellie, Heather and Lori — for making me feel so welcome and at home here. You all truly made this a seamless experience.
I’ve had the pleasure of adjusting some adorable babies, and I won’t lie…. it definitely helped scratch that ‘baby snuggle’ itch. There’s just something about that squishy stage of life that’s irresistibly cute! Of course, I’ve also had my fair share of sweet senior patients, and while their ‘squish’ isn’t quite as cute as a newborn, they’re just as sweet to me 🥰
One of the most memorable moments was when a patient asked if I was from around here; I said no but I mentioned my grandma, Betty Jo, was from Elbing. She immediately lit up and said, ‘I know her! She used to do my mom’s hair!’ My grandma passed away when I was just 5 years old, so I don’t have many memories of her. Hearing someone speak so fondly of her and share a piece of her legacy — especially after all these years — was a beautiful reminder of how much she impacted people.
Wishing Dr. Wilson all the best as she returns to work and adjusts to life as a new mom. You’ve got this — I hope it’s a smooth transition and that you enjoy every moment with your little guy. Thank you again to the whole team at Fair Chiropractic. It’s been a pleasure working with all of you! 🥲
