Your gut may be telling you something—but are you listening?

Bloating, constipation, diarrhea, unpredictable bowel habits, food reactions, or ongoing digestive discomfort shouldn’t automatically be dismissed as “just normal.”

And if you have an autoimmune condition, your gut health may be an important piece of the bigger picture.

At Chef Crafted Nutrition, we use functional nutrition testing to look beyond symptoms and help identify patterns that may be worth exploring.

🔬 A free Gut Health Functional Testing Consultation may be a good fit if you:

✔️ Have irregular bowel movements
✔️ Struggle with ongoing bloating or digestive discomfort
✔️ Alternate between constipation and diarrhea
✔️ Have unexplained food reactions or sensitivities
✔️ Have an autoimmune condition and want to explore gut health as part of your overall nutrition strategy
✔️ Have tried changing your diet but still aren’t getting the answers you’re looking for

Testing isn’t for everyone—and that’s exactly why we start with a consultation.

We’ll discuss your symptoms, history, goals, and whether functional testing may be appropriate for you.

🍋🍯 The perfect little bite for your gut + your taste buds.

These Lemon Honey Goat Cheese Stuffed Dates are sweet, creamy, tangy, crunchy—and seriously addictive. 😍

✨ Medjool date
✨ Creamy goat cheese
✨ Fresh lemon zest
✨ A touch of honey
✨ Pomegranate arils
✨ Crushed pistachios

And there’s more to this bite than just deliciousness.

🌿 Why we love these ingredients for gut health:

Dates provide fiber that can support regularity and contribute to a diverse diet rich in plant foods.

Pomegranate brings polyphenols—plant compounds being studied for their interaction with the gut microbiome and specifically Akkermansia

Pistachios provide fiber and prebiotic-type compounds that can help support beneficial gut bacteria.

Goat cheese provides protein and calcium and can be a delicious alternative for people who prefer its flavor and texture to traditional cheeses/cows milk issues.

🍋 And the lemon? It brings the brightness that makes the whole combination work.

The bigger gut-health takeaway? It doesn’t have to be complicated.

Supporting your microbiome can start with something as simple as regularly incorporating a variety of fiber-rich, colorful plant foods into your meals and snacks.

Taco night, a family staple!

Get in your veggies by cooking up some extra onions and peppers and piling them on! Salsa + avocado add extra fiber!!

🧅 Feeds beneficial gut bacteria: Onions are rich in prebiotic fibers (especially inulin and fructooligosaccharides), which help nourish beneficial bacteria like Bifidobacteria, supporting a healthier gut microbiome.
🧅 Supports digestion and gut barrier health: The prebiotics and antioxidants in onions may help improve digestion, increase short-chain fatty acid production, and support the integrity of the intestinal lining.

Healthy dinners don’t have to be complicated. ❤️

One of my favorite ways to simplify dinner is to deconstruct the meal.

Instead of making separate meals for everyone, put everything on a board or platter and let each family member build their own plate.

Tonight’s lineup:
🥗 Fresh veggies with a simple dip
🍓 Fresh fruit
🧀 Cheese
🥐 Croissants
🍤 Grilled shrimp
🍗 Chicken and veggie kabobs

It’s colorful, balanced, and gives everyone choices without turning you into a short-order cook.

This mix-and-match style is especially great for kids. They’re often more willing to try new foods when they can choose what goes on their plate. Plus, grilling keeps cleanup easy and lets the natural flavors shine.

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be Pinterest-perfect or time-consuming. Sometimes it’s just fresh ingredients, a hot grill, and a table where everyone can create a meal they enjoy.

Simple. Flexible. Family-friendly. That’s a win in my book.

Polycystic Metabolic and Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) reflects a more comprehensive understanding of the hormonal and metabolic patterns commonly seen in PCOS, where insulin resistance, inflammation, and androgen imbalance often work together.

This PMOS Recipe Plan is designed to support both metabolic health and hormonal balance through simple, nourishing meals that help stabilize blood sugar, improve insulin sensitivity, and reduce inflammation. All recipes are dairy-free, gluten-free, and free of added sugar to minimize common dietary triggers that can worsen symptoms such as fatigue, cravings, weight changes, and cycle irregularity.

Inside this plan, you’ll find easy, practical meals built around protein, fiber, and healthy fats to promote steadier energy, improved satiety, and more consistent metabolic function throughout the day. The focus is not restriction, but consistency—supporting your body with foods that work with your physiology rather than against it.

The goal of this plan is to help you feel more balanced, energized, and supported in your daily routine while addressing the root drivers often associated with PMOS.
