September at The Hive 🌿
September brings us back to the importance of gathering. To the moments when we step out of the rhythm of everyday life and make room to breathe, connect, listen, and simply be with others.
Throughout the month, The Hive offers different spaces for connection and ceremony, each with its own rhythm and intention. From the grounding presence of breathwork and cacao, to the warmth of the Men’s Fire Circle, and the deeper inward journey of our Entheogenic Ceremony, these gatherings offer an opportunity to meet yourself in community and create space for what is asking to be felt, explored, or remembered.
🍃 September 2nd | Breathwork & Cacao Ceremony
🍃 September 10th | The Hive Men’s Fire Circle
🍃 September 11th–12th | Entheogenic Ceremonies
🍃 September 12th–13th | Temazcal Ceremonies - 5.00 P.M.
You don’t have to know exactly what you are looking for before you arrive. Sometimes creating the space is where the listening begins.
If one of these gatherings speaks to where you are right now, we invite you to explore the details, learn more about each ceremony, and find the space that feels right for you.
Come as you are, and give yourself the space to reconnect. 🤎

What are you ready to welcome? 🌑✨
The August Lunar Eclipse arrives as an invitation to pause at the threshold between what has been and what is beginning to take shape. Eclipses have a way of bringing our attention to change. They can remind us that making space is just as important as moving forward. Sometimes, before we can welcome something new, we have to loosen our grip on what no longer feels aligned. You may not know exactly what comes next. You may simply feel that something within you is asking for a different way of being, a new direction, a deeper connection, or more room to breathe.
So rather than asking, What do I need to change?
Perhaps this eclipse invites: What am I ready to welcome?
A new beginning.
A relationship with yourself that feels more honest.
More trust in your own timing.
A practice that brings you back to center.
More space for creativity, connection, rest, or joy.
Take a moment beneath this eclipse and listen for what wants to enter your life. You don’t have to force the door open. Sometimes, welcoming begins simply by making space. What are you ready to welcome into this next chapter?

The natural world never asks the trees to bloom all year.
There is a season for new growth, a season for abundance, a season for letting go, and a season for resting beneath the surface. We accept this rhythm when we walk through a forest or watch the leaves change, yet it can be much harder to offer ourselves the same grace. Many of us move through life believing we should always have energy, clarity, and certainty. When we feel tired, uncertain, or in need of a pause, we often wonder what we’re doing wrong. We try to push through, hoping the feeling will pass if we simply keep going.
Our lives move in seasons too. There are times when everything seems to flow. Ideas come easily, relationships deepen, and we feel connected to ourselves in a way that brings us confidence. There are other seasons that invite us to grieve what has changed, to release what no longer fits, or to rest before taking another step forward.
Neither season is more valuable than the other. Just as the earth needs winter to prepare for spring, we also need moments of stillness to integrate what we have lived. Rest is not separate from growth. Reflection is not separate from transformation. They are part of the same cycle. Healing becomes gentler when we stop measuring ourselves against who we were a few months ago and begin listening to what this season of life is inviting us into instead.

There is a difference between being alone and feeling alone, one that most of us have felt in our bodies even when we couldn’t name it.
Solitude can be a place of returning. A space where we step away from the noise, reconnect with our own thoughts, listen to what our body is telling us, and let room open for whatever is asking to be felt. Isolation carries a different weight. It can convince us we have to carry everything on our own. It can pull us away from the very connections that remind us we are supported, seen, and held.
Across our lives, we move through seasons where we need both. Seasons of turning inward, and seasons of reaching outward. Seasons that call for stillness, and seasons that call for the warmth of community. Healing moves with us this way, sometimes surrounded by people, sometimes walking a stretch of the path on our own. It invites us to find the balance between honoring our own inner world and letting ourselves be witnessed by others. There is wisdom in the moments we spend with just ourselves. There is medicine in connection. Sometimes healing begins in the space where we can sit with ourselves. And sometimes it begins the moment we let someone else sit beside us.
What has solitude taught you about yourself? 🫂🤍

There are places that shape us the moment we walk into them. Some spaces pull us to move faster, think harder, keep proving we belong there. Others invite us to soften, to take a fuller breath, to notice what our shoulders have been holding without us ever naming it. The rooms and landscapes we spend our time in shape the way we feel, more than most of us ever stop to notice. The light filtering through the trees, the warmth of a cup of tea between our hands, birdsong drifting from close by, a circle of people waiting to welcome us home. These small details are woven into the healing itself. They remind our bodies, in a language older than words, that it is safe here to slow down.
At The Hive Sanctuary, every gathering begins with care for the space itself. We prepare each room, each altar, each seat in the circle with the intention of creating a place where people can arrive exactly as they are, tired or open or unsure, and still feel held. It helps us remember what many of us were taught to forget: healing comes easier when we feel supported, connected, and at home in our surroundings.
Whether you are joining us for a ceremony, a gathering, or a few unhurried minutes in nature, may you find the spaces that help you come back to yourself and to what matters most. What is one place where you feel able to exhale, slow down, and simply be?

Lessons we carried home from the Amazon 🌿

There is a different rhythm in the Amazon.
You begin to notice it after a few days, when the noise of everyday life starts to settle and the forest becomes easier to hear. The river moves without rushing. The trees stand with quiet patience. Even the silence seems to have its own language.
Traveling to spend time with our Shipibo family reminds us that the greatest teachings are rarely spoken all at once. They are shared through the way people live, the way they care for one another, and the reverence they hold for the land and the entheogenic traditions that have been passed from one generation to the next.
Our time there also always deepened our respect for the Indigenous communities who continue to care for these sacred traditions with humility, devotion, and integrity. Their relationship with the plants is one of deep reciprocity. They do not approach the forest asking what they can take from it, but how they can remain in right relationship with it. There is so much wisdom in that way of living.

🌿 We’d love to hear from you. Has nature ever changed the way you see yourself or the world around you?

There are seasons when we get to keep moving, and there are seasons when life asks us to become still.

Our Grandmother Immersives are a sacred invitation to step away from the demands of daily life and enter into communion with one of Creation’s oldest teachers.

Within the sanctuary of ceremony, we gather in community to sit in prayer with the intelligence of the sacred plants, opening ourselves to receive their teachings with humility, reverence, and gratitude. We remember that wisdom is found in direct relationship with the living world 🌱

The Wisdom of Silence
Silence can feel unfamiliar at first.
Many of us are used to filling every quiet moment with something. We reach for our phones while waiting in line. We turn on music as soon as we get in the car. We replay conversations in our minds before falling asleep. Noise becomes so constant that we hardly notice it until it is gone.
Then there are moments, whether in nature, ceremony, or simply sitting alone with a cup of tea, when everything becomes still. At first, the mind often rushes in to fill the space. Thoughts become louder. Emotions we have been carrying begin to surface. It can feel uncomfortable because silence has a way of gently revealing what has been waiting for our attention.
Over time, that same silence can become a place where the nervous system softens, the breath deepens, and we remember that we do not always need answers right away. Sometimes what we need most is enough space to hear our own hearts again.
🍃 This week, give yourself 10 uninterrupted minutes without music, a screen, or distractions. Simply sit, breathe, and notice what begins to unfold.

There is so much intelligent about watching a hive move…
No single bee is carrying the whole system. Nothing is being forced into isolation or importance in the way we sometimes assume growth should look like. Instead, there is a kind of shared rhythm that feels almost invisible when you first look at it, but becomes unmistakable the longer you stay with it.
One bee leaves, another returns. Some tend, some build, some protect, some rest. And what feels like chaos at a distance is actually a deeply coordinated form of care that is always adjusting itself to what the moment needs.
In human life, we often forget this kind of intelligence exists.
We start to believe that healing is something we do alone, that strength means self-sufficiency, that progress should be linear and visible. And in that forgetting, many people end up carrying far more than a nervous system was ever meant to hold by itself..
The hives show us that care is not a role assigned to one person, but something that moves through a collective. The hive does not ask any one bee to become the whole. It simply asks each one to belong.

Summer and the Art of Receiving 🌞🍃

There is an exhaustion that comes from carrying too much for too long. Many of us learn how to give before we ever learn how to receive. We become the person others can count on. The one who checks in, shows up, holds things together, and keeps moving even when our own reserves are running low. Over time, giving can become so familiar that receiving begins to feel uncomfortable. A compliment is brushed aside our automatically redirected. An offer of help is declined. Rest feels unearned. Support feels unfamiliar.

Summer invites a new rhythm of this …
If you spend time in nature this season, you’ll notice that the earth is receiving as much as it is giving. The soil receives rain. The trees receive sunlight. The flowers receive pollination. Life is sustained through an ongoing exchange.

Human beings are not meant to be any different. Receiving is not passive or selfish. It is not something that needs to be earned after you’ve given enough. Receiving is allowing yourself to be nourished by the same life that you work so hard to contribute to.

What would it feel like to receive the care, support, rest, or nourishment that you’ve been so willing to offer others?
