When treating early diabesity and prediabetes, we usually focus on the scale. But what if the time of day you eat matters just as much for pancreatic recovery?
In landmark clinical studies, researchers placed patients on early time-restricted feeding schedules (eating within an 8-hour window finishing early in the afternoon).
Crucially, calories were kept identical so no weight was lost. The result? Fasting insulin dropped, blood pressure improved, and pancreatic beta-cells recovered their normal first-phase insulin pulses.
How does this work? Pancreatic cells have their own internal biological clocks that regulate insulin release.
Aligning meals with peak morning insulin sensitivity prevents cell stress and exhaustion.
