MISSION STATEMENT: Music Moves Mountains Foundation is a perpetual series of projects, programs, and services utilizing the scientifically proven powers of music to change and improve the quality of lives. The Foundation is established as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that uses tax-deductible donations to facilitate the

se efforts. Our goal is to offer better access to those in need of music therapy, music education, and community outreach. WE SERVE: Children, adults, and seniors suffering mental, emotional, or physical illnesses, developmental disabilities or disorders, depression or loss, trauma or stress, as well as underserved and at-risk communities and schools. We also offer opportunities to partner with musicians, music educators, music therapists, and other organizations. Programs:
“All Abilities Rock” – Community music workshops/experiences, adaptive music education/mentorship, and sensory-friendly concerts for children and adults with disabilities or special needs

“Play It Forward” – A cooperative effort to offer donated musical instruments, music scholarships, and mentorship to low-income or at-risk individuals who commit, in return, to donate their time and talent to someone in need

“Feeding The Soul” – A series of musical performances and engagement at hospitals, nursing homes, memory care facilities, VA Centers, rehabilitative centers, hospice care, homeless shelters, etc. Services:
Financial assistance and/or referral to contract a Board-certified Music Therapist (when funding is available)

The Music Moves Mountains Foundation presents Sound Collective, an inclusive, all abilities ensemble uplifting disabled and neurodiverse musicians, on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 6pm. As part of MMMF’s All Abilities Rock program, this will be a free, inclusive community event celebrating the joy and power of music “where every voice belongs.” Musical director Christa Tumlinson brings out the best in this diverse group of singers and musicians who shine when given a platform. Thanks to Art Spark for being a co-presenter and home to this beautiful organization!

About MMMF’s All Abilities Rock program: Free, accessible community music experiences, support for adaptive music education/mentorship, inclusive sensory-friendly concerts for children and adults with disabilities or special needs, platforms to showcase artists with disabilities.

About Soundspace at Capt. Quack’s: Located at 5326 Menchaca Road tucked away in small South Austin retail strip with ADA accessible parking and seating and has a bus stop out front. Quack’s offers baked goods, sandwiches, coffee and drinks, and the Soundspace has a full bar. This is an all ages, family friendly venue.

It all started with a five-year old boy obsessed with Keith Moon and the rest is history. Now that boy is twenty and is going to finally be joined by fellow Moonies to play the soundtrack of his life! And all to benefit MMMF's programs that will help others with the power of music. We're bringing L.A. to Austin y'all! We're so honored to have Gregg Bissonette (Ringo's All-Starrs), Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction), and Michael Jerome (Slash/Third Mind/John Cale) join us as special guest drummers! Plus a dream line-up of Austin’s most killer players!

Whew! What a beautiful day yesterday celebrating National Disability Independence Day with the All Abilities Rock Music Fest! It was a dream come true to host an accessible day of celebration with so many community members feeling welcomed, included, seen, and heard. The day was made possible in part from support from an Elevate grant from the Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment division. Thanks again to Central Machine Works Austin , Boss Radio Music Services , Stardust ASL, Make Every Media, PCSI, Autism Society of Texas, Sound Collective , Volunteer Deputy Registrar Miss Meg (voting registration in Texas), The Eddie Ray Band , Yesterday & Today and Blue Mist. Special thanks to our board members and volunteers who helped out and showed support and to Austin Chronicle, KOOP Radio / Art Spark Texas, Texas Music Office, KUTX 98.9, and We Are Austin for spreading the good word. Hey Austin! Anyone have a drumkit they can donate to Cassie's student?

Thanks to I was able to provide my student with a bass drum pedal, hi hat and stand to practice at home until they can get a full drum set! Here we are demonstrating a way they can set it up at home :)
