Rotary3DLimbs This is a Lakeway/Lake Travis, Austin,TX Rotary Club Global initiative for developing and introducing 3D printed prosthetic limb technology into Tanzania.

Throughout the developing world there are not enough qualified prosthetists to serve the amputee population adequately;new approaches to prosthesis development that is cost effective, along with greater numbers of trained technicians is needed in order to meet the need for prosthetic services. The goal of the Rotary 3D Limbs Project is to help meet this need by providing 3D Printing technology, tr

aining, educational materials and workshops to hospitals in third world countries. This project will increase the training opportunities for students and professional in the targeted areas and to allow amputees the opportunity to regain the ability to be self sufficient individual in their society. Our initial work will take place at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center in Moshi, Tanzania East Africa.
