I’m not sure I’ve ever been so respectful of my body before & while it feels different, it’s so beautiful at the same time.

I started this morning with quiet reflection, planning my week, checking in on my priority goals & looking at the month ahead to make the most of it without overwhelm. Then, I took a 2.5 mile slow walk outside listening to calming music.

Finished up with a little mobility to address any tight areas, comprehensive core 2 & lower body vibration. All with time to make my badass breakfast intentionally & eat it slowly, which also meant spending more time with my kids & ensuring they were fueling well, too.

I was thinking at the end of my little mental health & gentle morning movement walk how many years I spent “powering through” my morning with “crushing” long runs, hard gym sessions & honestly, as good as I am about honoring my body - I was still powering through life & my body’s needs often in a counterproductive way that did not support my best overall mental, physical & nervous system health, nor optimal longevity in being strong, fit & able to run happy & injury-free for life.

It feels really good to be closer to myself, my family & supporting my long-term goals vs. the short-term expectations/often ridiculous goals I was placing on myself.

It’s a new level of badassery I didn’t know existed & I’m really proud to see my body’s inflammation levels, sense of calm & ability to crush my intentionally hard workouts rise above. And, as labwork & my body’s results keep proving - this is my best path to success in all areas of mid-life.



I think I’m just continuously shocked by how different it looks than I thought it would, but in many ways, it’s brilliantly better 🩷

Holy wow!! We are still in awe, incredibly grateful & SO damn proud! 🩷💪🏃🏽‍♀️

We chatted the whole time, fully going out with intentions to just run for fun

No traditional taper this week, only one meal of carb loading, 2 strong lower body lifts this past week & more minimal than usual race day fueling (b/c no intentions to race all-out).

This goes to show Jen is in even better shape than the time she ran because with the proper approach she’d likely have run even stronger.

And that running Goal Pace miles is so much harder to do alone than with a buddy. 😊

Apparently, with our new Breaking Through Wellness training methods in our Badass Health, Body Recomp & Physique Plan that supports optimal hormone production in - when we truly adjust & honor our body’s needs to accommodate for high life stress & our changing hormones - Bam! 🔥

absolutely crushed the Cleveland Half Marathon today with a 1:57. That’s her PR from Wineglass!!! 😱

AND these were horrible race conditions: the temp creeped up to 70 degrees, direct sun with about 80% humidity.

My fav part: Her goal pace was a 8:50 & she ran her 11th mile at a 8:25 because we realized how close she was to the PR despite all of our fun & said, “Well f*ck, let’s go!” I told her, “I think you are going to PR this race style” 🤣

& that, she did!!

Plus - I can’t ignore the visible progress in our strong, fit physiques since October, which is truly so freaking fun to see what our fierce female body can do when we support it with female-specific science & simplicity 🩷.
